The plot of the film Seven Pounds begins with the main character calling the 911 rescue service and reporting an accident that is about to happen. He tells the rescuers about suicide, and the victim indicates himself.
Tim Thomas is exactly the name of the protagonist, although in the film he is more often represented by the name of his brother Ben Thomas. A couple of years before the events, he gets into a traffic accident, as a result of which seven people die through his fault. The most dear woman in Tim’s life, his beloved Sarah Jenson, also dies.
A year after those terrible events, having long since abandoned the career of a station engineer in space, the hero decides to radically change his life, spending it only on good deeds. His brother, who works for the US Internal Revenue Service, urgently needs a lung transplant, and Tim is an ideal organ donor. After that, the hero decides to donate part of the liver to a child protection worker, thereby finally changing his life and deciding to help people with donation. Tim believes that seven is exactly the number of people he needs to save with his life. Since two years ago he sent exactly seven people to another world. How many lives can he still save? Will it be all in vain?
