The action takes place in the 30s of the 20th century on the territory of occupied Korea. The swindler and skillful thief Sook-Hee receives an offer from her friend for illegal fishing for cooperation, which can be incredibly rich. Wealthy Korean Kouzuki successfully married a Japanese woman, taking her last name and estate. The woman soon died, making him the sole heir to the property. The man made a good living, forging old books, selling them to wealthy acquaintances, and also arranges erotic performances with the participation of his late wife's niece Hideko, living with him.
The guy decided to impersonate Count Fujiwara, become a good friend for Kouzuki, and then fall in love with his ward and marry her. After he planned to hide the unfortunate in a psychiatric hospital, having pocketed all her money and title. To do this, Sook-Hee moves to a luxurious mansion under the guise of a personal maid, so that by verbal manipulation to convince the lady to pay attention to the enviable groom. As she communicates with Hideko, the main character gets warm feelings for her, not wanting to betray her trust, as Fujiwara suddenly changes her plans.
