The Ladykillers (2004)
Released: 2004.
Directors: Ethan Coen, Joel Coen.
Goldthwaite is a slightly strange professor living in one of the southern states of America. Together with a company of like-minded people, he develops a plan to rob a respectable casino. Their goal is to remove all the jewels from the casino without causing any reaction from the security system. Not everyone can handle such a thing, so the team gathers to carefully think over a plan of the robbery. Each of the team members has their own specific role. Someone performs the duties of a demolitionist, someone is a "mole", someone will get the role of a weasel.
Everything would be fine, but there is one serious problem that can become a destructive stumbling block. The fact is that it is safe to enter the casino only through the basement of the house where the pious old woman lives. However, the swindlers are not going to abandon their plans. They pretend to be an ensemble of early music and go to the old woman to rent a room from her. The old woman surrounded the swindlers with care, and they rewarded her with beautiful music for this. At the same time, the team continued to think through the robbery plan. At one point, the old woman began to suspect about the dishonest activities of her roommates. When the robbers found out about this, they decided to kill the old woman, but underestimated her mental abilities.
