Filming of Pink Floyd's concerts during the tour in support of the 1987 album A Momentary Lapse of Reason: in New York ("Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum") from August 19 to 23, 1988 and on the square in front of the Palace of Versailles (Place d ' Armes, Ch√Ęteau de Versailles) in France on June 21 and 22, 1988.
The light show of the footage was staged by Marc Brickman and the music was produced by David Gilmour. The footage shown on the circular screen above the stage, accompanying the musical performances during the concert featured in the film, is video by Storm Thorgerson and animation by Ian Emes (during the performance of "Time"). The film was released on June 13, 1989 in VHS and LaserDisc formats.
