Director: James Wan.
The events of the film unfold two years after the actions of the first film and tell the further fate of the Lambert family. Josh and Dalton, returning to the bosom of the family, began a new life. Wanting to get rid of the ghosts of the past, the family decides to move to Josh's mother, old Lorraine, for a short time. Here the Lambert family starts life from scratch and thinks that from now on everything will be the same as before, even better. But family members cannot even imagine how wrong they are.
Soon, Renai again sees frightening visions, which she shares with her husband. And her son, little Dalton, increasingly tells his mother that Josh is acting very strange. Josh, listening to the claims and dubious statements of his wife, denies everything, which further scares his wife. Lorraine soon reveals to Renai that Josh's body appears to have been possessed by the ghost of a late killer maniac named Parker. As a boy, Parker was often bullied by his mother, who constantly forced the boy to dress up as a girl and behave like a daughter, not a son. A similar attitude was deposited in the subconscious of Parker, and, becoming an adult, he began to kidnap and kill young girls. When Josh was still a child, he met Parker and witnessed his suicide.
